Since 1995 CentrePeace has been in the “second chances” business. Many recognize CentrePeace as a resale shop specializing in furniture, home goods and more, providing items a second chance and avoiding disposal in a landfill. In truth, we specialize in second chances for people....primarily, returning citizens.
On Friday, February 17, 2023 the Board of Directors at CentrePeace appointed Barbara Squires as our new Executive Director.
If you haven’t noticed, Route 150 between State College and Bellefonte has become quite the thrifters row! While CentrePeace has been in the same approximate location for years, both non-profit and for-profit resale shops have sprouted. Everyone loves the thrill of the hunt and a great find. I believe “thrifters row” started with CentrePeace.
