Prayer Mates

Prayer Mates is one of our oldest programs, and is a way for people to get involved in our mission and directly help someone who is incarcerated.

Through Prayer Mates, we work with all requesting incarcerated individuals, regardless of where they're incarcerated, to anonymously connect them with someone on the outside who can pray for the incarcerated person and aid them in their spiritual growth through the exchange of letters. Incarcerated individuals will only know the person's first name on the outside and all letters are screened through CentrePeace and the correctional system. It is up to the correspondents how often they would like to communicate. 

There are always more incarcerated individuals who would like to connect through Prayer Mates than there are willing volunteers on the outside. If you would like to participate in Prayer Mates, contact Barabara at barbara@centrepeace.org.
