Among the most overlooked individuals in our prison system are those on death row—often isolated, often forgotten. At CentrePeace, we believe that every life is worthy of dignity, and every birthday deserves acknowledgment. That’s why, each month, we send birthday cards to individuals on death row.

These simple gestures carry profound meaning. This card may be the only correspondence someone receives all year. One recipient wrote, “Thank you, you are the only one who ever acknowledges my birthday.” Another shared, “Thank you for remembering me. It brightened my day to receive your card. May God bless you for all you do.”

This program is a quiet act of grace—a reminder that even in the darkest places, light can reach in. That someone is thinking of them. That they are still seen.
