Trainee Store Credit
Building lives through furnishing homes upon reentry.
Trainee Store Credit—Equipping New Beginnings
Restoration doesn’t end with a repaired chair or a resolved conflict—it continues into the quiet corners of daily life. Rebuilding after incarceration often means starting from scratch: securing housing, furnishing a space, and creating a home that feels safe and dignified. At CentrePeace, we believe restoration must include these practical steps of reentry.
That’s why our trainees earn store credit throughout their time with us. This credit allows them to purchase essential items—living room and bedroom furniture, kitchen tables and chairs, small appliances, linens, dishes, silverware, and more. Each item isn’t just a possession—it’s a building block toward stability, dignity, and independence. It’s a way of saying, “You deserve a fresh start, and we’re here to help you build it.”
Restoration in Action
From sanding wood to setting a table, every step matters. Trainees leave CentrePeace not only with skills and confidence, but with the physical tools to begin again—furnished homes, stocked kitchens, and the quiet assurance that someone believes in their future.
What Trainees Say
“Before coming to CentrePeace, I didn’t know how I was going to rebuild my life. I had lost everything. My apartment, all of my belongings—everything gone. With store credit, I was able to get everything I needed to start over: a place to sit and relax, a table to have my meals, a bed to rest, towels, sheets, dishes, and so much more. And when I needed more than I had earned, CentrePeace gave me what I needed—coffee pot, microwave, trash cans, plastic storage containers. I took all of those things for granted.”
This is the heart of CentrePeace: restoration not just of furniture, but of futures, families, and faith in what’s possible.
